The full behavior of the SUMO Toolbox is configurable through 2 XML files:
- Toolbox configuration xml file: all the options related to the toolbox itself, which model types to use, how to score models, what sample selection strategy to use, etc. All options related to the 'modeling'.
- The default configuration can be used as a starting point to the several components of the toolbox. A tool is available called the SUMO configuration editor that provides a GUI for editing the default configuration. It is advised for new users to use this tool to set up their experiment, as it avoids having to learn to work with the XML structure.
- Simulator configuration xml file: defines the interface with the simulator, how many inputs, how many outputs, ranges, name of the executable or dataset, etc. This file is found inside each project directory in the
examples/subdirectory. If you want to add your own, please see Adding an example.
The Toolbox configuration file will contain the name of the simulator project to use (specified in the
<Simulator> tag). For information how to run different examples see running different examples.
